Chef Hanis 5-Course Tasting Menu at El Take It Easy

For their September edition of First Monday Tasting Table, El Take It Easy presents Chef Hanis Cavin of Carnitas’ Snack Shack in a 5 course pork-centric (of course) tasting meal. Hanis was renowned for his upscale dining when he helmed Kensington Grill, and his touch with pork at Carnitas is celebrated widely. We’ll hope you’ll join us.
Here’s the menu:
chili – molasses seared pork belly / apple-frisee salad
caramelized pork jowl hash ravioli / tomato jam / chimichuri
carnitas crepinette / white cheddar polenta / guajillo nage
grilled pork “delmonico” / potato cake / spinach / green peppercorn glace
dessert (partnered with Swoon desserts of North Park)
bacon / peaches / cream / pudding pops
