At 5:30pm on Wednesday, July 16, Jsix Restaurant will host San Diego’s SausageFest, wherein local chefs will compete for the title of Sausage King! In this crazy cook-off, San Diego’s meat masters attempt to cut the competition for rights to the best sausage in town, and present them to the public for a winning vote. Come see who will reign supreme as this year’s Sausage King. Each year, San Diego’s meat masters attempt to cut the competition for rights to the best sausage in town. In this exciting and outrageous cook-off, chefs enter their favorite sausage recipes, from Chorizo to Bratwurst, to present to the public for a winning vote. Come out on July 16th, and see who will be left high and dry, and who will smoke the competition. Last year’s winner, Andrew Bent (Tender Greens), will be defending his title against Hanis Cavin (Carnitas’ Snack Shack), Christian Graves (Jsix), and an all-star lineup of local chefs. Attendees will vote for their favorite encased meats. Additionally, Lost Abbey will release “The Road to Helles,” a classic straw-gold German lager. Festival-goers can purchase $10 sausage rides and 1-liter take home steins full of Lost Abbey’s Road to Helles for $20. Live musical entertainment by The Tighten Ups!
