Carnitas’ Snack Shack Hosts 6th Annual Green Flash Smokeout for SDBW

On the first Sunday of San Diego Beer Week 2014, Carnitas’ Snack Shack North Park is pleased to host the 6th Annual Green Flash Smokeout.
Join us Sunday, November 9, 2014 for Rare Green Flash Craft Beers, Fresh Ironside Oysters, Delicious Smokehouse Kings Smoked Meats, and Shucking Good Fun at this year’s Green Flash Smokeout at Carnitas’ Snack Shack North Park!
Green Flash folks will be on hand for a meet-and-greet. Brewmaster Chuck Silva and Certified Cicerone® Dave Adams have curated a very special beer pairing for this tap takeover. Their 12th Anniversary Ale is officially released November 10, but we’ll have it here first!
Green Flash Tap List:
• Green Flash 12th Anniversary Ale, 5.9% ABV
(Dry-hopped Sour Pale Ale, first pour in the country!)
• Green Flash Cedar Plank, American Pale Ale, 6.5% ABV
(30th Street Pale Ale, with Spanish cedar)
• Green Flash Soul Style IPA, India Pale Ale, 6.5% ABV
• Green Flash Super Freak, 10.7% ABV
(Le Freak, aged in wine barrels with brettanomyces)
Ironside Fish & Oyster Bar executive chef Jason McLeod will be shucking Ironside Select oysters (from Puget Sound, Washington).
Chefs Max Bonacci, Ivan Muñoz and Hanis Cavin will be serving up giant legs of smoked meats from their carving station at The Pig Pen, the SnackShack’s outdoor patio bar. This year, the Smokehouse Kings are preparing Salmon Creek pork leg (Twin Falls, Idaho), Superior Meats leg of lamb (Colorado), and Porterfield Ranch (Dorris, CA) beef tri tip. All meats will be hardwood-smoked and slow-roasted. Special sides and Green Flash sauces will be on ice to add to your dish. And dessert!
Did we mention we’ll also have NFL Football on our large screen TV? Yeah, there’s that too.
