Carnitas’ Snack Shack Hosts 5th Annual Green Flash Smokeout for SDBW

Join us Sunday, November 3rd, for a Green Flash tap takeover and a feast of our house-smoked meats, pastured lamb, Berkshire pork, local goat and mussels.
Green Flash Brewing folks will be on hand for a meet-and-greet. Brewmaster Chuck Silva and Certified Cicerone® Dave Adams have curated a very special beer pairing for the event.
Green Flash Smokeout Taplist:
• Little Freak, Saison, 4.5% ABV
• Cedar Plank, American Pale Ale, 6.0% ABV
• Hop Head Red, Red India Pale Ale, 7.0% ABV
• Silva Stout, American Double Stout, 10.1% ABV
“Its going to be like a petting zoo of smoked meats,” promises Carnitas’ Snack Shack executive chef Hanis Cavin.
Chefs Max Bonacci, Ivan Muñoz and David “Sarge” Fults will be serving up their feast from The Pig Pen, the SnackShack’s outdoor patio bar. Meats provided by local farmer Jack Ford of TAJ Farms, seafood provided by fishmonger Tommy Gomes of Catalina Offshore Products.
James Holtslag and Trey Nichols from Heart and Trotter Butchery will be here demonstrating their skills. Beef hindquarter at 1pm, goat at 2pm and lamb at 3pm, with tray-passed complimentary hors d’ouvre from each presentation!
This event is a great time every year, and in past years was held at The Linkery in North Park. We’re extremely honored to now be hosting. Did we mention it’s on Sunday? So get ready for the San Diego Chargers vs the Washington Redskins on our big-screen TV.
